Privacy overview

This policy explains how Rosemarry (“Rosemarry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit our website, join a waitlist, contact us, or use any Rosemarry product or service.

Responsible collection

We collect the information needed to provide, maintain, and protect the service.

Your rights and choices

You may update, download, or request deletion of your information.

No sale of personal information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

02

Information we collect

The information we receive depends on how you interact with Rosemarry. It may include:

Information you provide

  • Name, email address, date of birth, and account details.
  • Profile content such as photos, prompts, preferences, and interests.
  • Messages you send to us, including support requests and feedback.
  • Payment and subscription details processed by our payment providers.

What we receive automatically

  • Device, browser, IP address, and approximate location information.
  • How you use the website or service, including pages and features viewed.
  • Cookies or browser storage used for essential functions, such as remembering that you dismissed a notice.
  • Safety signals such as reports, blocks, and suspected misuse.
Website measurement Our website measurement counts page loads, page views, signup starts and successful signup responses in daily totals. It includes the landing page, a broad referral category and the signup button location. These totals contain no email addresses, visitor identifiers, IP addresses, full referrer URLs or query strings, and expire after 400 days. Attribution stays in memory while you browse; this measurement uses no cookies or persistent identifiers and respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Hosting and security services may process request information separately.
Sensitive information Dating profiles may reveal information such as gender, sexual orientation, beliefs, or relationship preferences. Where required, we ask for your consent before processing this information, and you choose what appears on your profile.
03

How we use information

We use personal information where we have a valid legal basis and for purposes including the following:

  • create and manage accounts, profiles, subscriptions, and waitlist sign-ups;
  • show relevant profiles and personalise the Rosemarry experience;
  • process transactions and send service-related messages;
  • respond to questions, feedback, and support requests;
  • detect spam, fraud, harassment, and other behaviour that may put people at risk;
  • understand performance, fix issues, and improve our products;
  • meet legal obligations and enforce these policies; and
  • send marketing where you have agreed to receive it or where otherwise permitted.

We rely on your consent, our contract with you, legitimate interests, and legal obligations as applicable. You can withdraw consent at any time, but this will not affect processing that already occurred lawfully.

04

Sharing and retention

When information may be shared

We may share information with trusted providers that help us operate Rosemarry, such as hosting, analytics, payment, communication, moderation, and security services. They may only use information for the work they perform for us and must protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to investigate or prevent harm, to protect our rights or the rights of others, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. Profile information you choose to publish may be visible to other Rosemarry users.

Retention periods

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including safety, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

International transfers

Our providers may process information in other countries. When required, we use safeguards designed to protect information during international transfers.

05

Safety and security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and keeping your login details confidential.

Online dating safety Keep early conversations on-platform, never send money or financial details, meet in a public place, tell someone you trust about your plans, and report behaviour that feels unsafe. If there is an immediate threat, contact local emergency services.

Community expectations

Rosemarry is for respectful, genuine connection. Harassment, hate speech, threats, stalking, scams, impersonation, non-consensual sexual content, exploitation, and illegal activity are not allowed. We may review reports and restrict or remove access when necessary to protect the community.

06

Your choices and rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, object to or limit certain processing, and withdraw consent. You may also be able to complain to your local privacy regulator.

  • Update profile and account details through the service where available.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing using the link in any marketing email.
  • Adjust browser controls for non-essential cookies.
  • Submit a privacy request through our contact page.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not treat you unfairly for exercising a privacy right.

Terms of service

Last updated: 23 August 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Rosemarry.

By creating an account or using Rosemarry, you agree to these Terms.

1

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Rosemarry.

Your identity must also be successfully verified through Rosemarry’s identity verification process before you can use Rosemarry’s dating features.

You may not use Rosemarry if:

  • You are under 18.
  • You provide false identity information.
  • You attempt to use another person’s identity.
  • Your account has previously been permanently banned from Rosemarry, unless Rosemarry has given you permission to create another account.
  • You are prohibited from using the service under applicable law.

Rosemarry may request additional verification where reasonably necessary for safety, security or fraud prevention.

2

Your Account

You must create and use your own Rosemarry account.

You agree to provide information that is reasonably accurate and up to date.

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login details secure.
  • Not allowing another person to use your account.
  • Not creating an account for another person.
  • Not impersonating another person.
  • Updating important account information where necessary.
  • Informing Rosemarry if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Rosemarry may restrict or remove duplicate, fake, fraudulent or misleading accounts.

3

Using Rosemarry

Rosemarry is intended to help adults meet and communicate with other people for dating and relationships.

When using Rosemarry, you must:

  • Treat other users respectfully.
  • Follow these Terms and Rosemarry’s Community Guidelines.
  • Provide genuine information about yourself.
  • Respect another user’s decision to Like, Pass, block or stop communicating with you.
  • Use Rosemarry for personal dating purposes.

You must not:

  • Harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate another person.
  • Impersonate another person.
  • Scam or financially exploit another user.
  • Send unwanted sexual or abusive content.
  • Promote or participate in illegal activity.
  • Collect another user’s personal information without permission.
  • Use Rosemarry for spam or unauthorised advertising.
  • Use bots, automated scripts or similar systems to access Rosemarry without permission.
  • Attempt to interfere with Rosemarry’s systems, security or operation.

Serious or repeated violations may result in restrictions, suspension or permanent removal from Rosemarry.

4

Circle

Circle is Rosemarry’s group-based dating feature.

Rosemarry may place eligible users into a Circle based on factors including:

  • Age preferences.
  • Distance.
  • Gender and orientation compatibility.
  • Dating intentions.
  • Dealbreakers.
  • Relationship goals.
  • Lifestyle.
  • Interests.
  • Values and preferences.
  • Previous interactions.
  • Likes and Passes.

Users who have Passed, blocked or reported each other will generally not be placed together again.

Users who have already matched will normally be separated in future Circles.

Rosemarry may prioritise placing users together again where previous interactions suggest that further interaction may be worthwhile.

This can include:

  • One-sided Likes.
  • Strong reciprocal interactions.
  • High compatibility.
  • Repeated conversation or activity engagement.

Being placed with another user again is not guaranteed.

Circle Size

A Circle will normally contain approximately 8–12 users, with around 10 users being the target.

The exact number of users may vary depending on the number of suitable users available.

Rosemarry may prioritise compatibility over reaching a specific Circle size.

Circle Themes

A Circle may be organised around a shared interest or theme.

Examples may include gaming, food, music, hiking, movies or other interests.

Users do not necessarily need to share exactly the same interests.

Compatibility between users takes priority over the Circle theme.

Circle Variety

Rosemarry may combine:

  • Users you have not previously met.
  • Users you have previously shared a Circle with.
  • Users with whom you have previously interacted positively.

Rosemarry will generally avoid recreating exactly the same Circle repeatedly.

5

Likes, Passes and Matches in Circle

While participating in a Circle, you may:

  • Like another member.
  • Pass on another member.
  • Take no action.

One-Sided Like

If you Like another Circle member and they have not Liked you:

  • Your Like remains hidden while the Circle is active.
  • A Match is not created.

A one-sided Like may increase the likelihood that the two users are placed together again, but this is not guaranteed.

Mutual Like

If two users Like each other:

  • A Match is created immediately.
  • Both users are informed.
  • Private messaging becomes available.
  • Both users may remain in their current Circle until it ends.

Pass

If either user Passes:

  • The other user is not notified of the Pass.
  • Any existing one-sided Like between those users is closed.
  • Rosemarry will generally avoid placing those users together again.

No Action

Taking no action is treated as neutral.

Users who take no action may still be placed together again in a future Circle.

End of a Circle

At the end of a Circle, unresolved one-sided Likes may be revealed to the user who received them.

The receiving user may then:

  • Like back and create a Match.
  • Pass.
  • Take no action.

Once a one-sided Like has been revealed, it may remain visible even if the users later share another Circle.

6

Discovery and Matching

Rosemarry may provide a Discovery feature where users can view and interact with profiles outside their Circle.

Depending on the features available to your account, you may be able to:

  • Like.
  • Pass.
  • Super Like.
  • Send other expressions of interest.

A Match normally occurs when two users mutually express interest in each other.

Rosemarry may limit the number of profiles, Likes or other actions available through Discovery.

Different limits or features may apply to free and paid users.

A recommendation, Like, Circle placement or Match does not guarantee:

  • Compatibility.
  • A response.
  • A date.
  • A relationship.
  • Any particular outcome.
7

Messaging and User Content

Rosemarry may allow users to communicate through:

  • Circle group chats.
  • Private chats between matched users.
  • Images.
  • Profile information.
  • Profile photos.
  • Activities.
  • Prompts.
  • Other communication features.

You are responsible for content you upload, post, send or share through Rosemarry.

You must not upload or send content that:

  • Is illegal.
  • Harasses, threatens or abuses another person.
  • Contains unwanted explicit sexual material.
  • Contains another person’s private information without permission.
  • Is fraudulent or intentionally misleading.
  • Infringes another person’s intellectual property.
  • Contains malware or harmful software.
  • Violates Rosemarry’s Community Guidelines.

Information sent through a Circle group chat can be viewed by other members of that Circle.

Users should consider this before sharing personal or sensitive information.

Rosemarry may remove content or restrict accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or comply with legal obligations.

8

Automated Systems

Rosemarry may use algorithms and automated systems to operate, personalise and improve the service.

These systems may be used for purposes including:

  • Assessing compatibility between users.
  • Creating Circle groups.
  • Determining whether previous Circle members may be suitable to meet again.
  • Recommending profiles through Discovery.
  • Personalising the user experience.
  • Detecting spam, scams or fake accounts.
  • Identifying potentially harmful or abusive behaviour.
  • Assisting with content moderation and safety.
  • Improving Rosemarry’s services and features.

These systems may consider information such as:

  • Profile information.
  • Dating preferences.
  • Interests.
  • Location or distance.
  • Likes.
  • Passes.
  • Matches.
  • Previous Circle participation.
  • Conversation and interaction patterns.
  • Participation in Circle activities.
  • Other activity on Rosemarry.

Interaction signals may include whether communication between two users is reciprocal.

Repeated messages from one user with little or no response from the other user should not necessarily be treated as evidence of strong compatibility.

Rosemarry may maintain compatibility assessments between pairs of users.

Rosemarry does not intend to assign users a general attractiveness, desirability or ELO-style popularity score for the purpose of deciding who deserves greater dating exposure.

Compatibility assessments and recommendations are estimates only.

Rosemarry does not guarantee that users identified as compatible will become attracted to each other, Match, meet or form a relationship.

Rosemarry may modify, retrain, replace or improve its automated systems over time.

9

Rosemarry Premium

Rosemarry may offer an optional paid subscription called Rosemarry Premium.

Rosemarry Premium costs $10 per month, unless another price is clearly displayed before purchase.

Premium may provide additional features or increased access to existing features.

The features included in Premium may change over time.

Subscriptions may automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the next renewal.

If you purchase Rosemarry Premium through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, your purchase may also be subject to that platform’s payment, cancellation and refund rules.

Cancelling a subscription prevents future renewals.

You may normally continue using Premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds will be provided where required by applicable consumer law and may also depend on the policies of the payment platform used.

Rosemarry may change subscription prices in the future.

Where required, users will be informed before a pricing change applies to an existing subscription.

10

Suspension and Termination

Rosemarry may warn, restrict, suspend or permanently remove an account where a user:

  • Violates these Terms.
  • Violates the Community Guidelines.
  • Harasses, threatens or harms other users.
  • Creates a fake or fraudulent account.
  • Attempts to scam another user.
  • Misuses Rosemarry.
  • Attempts to bypass a suspension or permanent ban.
  • Interferes with Rosemarry’s systems or security.
  • Creates a significant safety risk to other users.

Rosemarry may consider the seriousness, frequency and circumstances of the behaviour when deciding what action to take.

Rosemarry may temporarily restrict an account while investigating a report or potential safety issue.

Users may also deactivate or delete their own accounts.

11

Intellectual Property

Rosemarry and its associated:

  • Name.
  • Branding.
  • Logos.
  • Software.
  • Interface.
  • Designs.
  • Features.
  • Original content.

are owned by Rosemarry or its licensors where applicable.

Using Rosemarry does not give you ownership of Rosemarry’s intellectual property.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, modify, reverse engineer or commercially exploit Rosemarry’s intellectual property without permission, except where permitted by law.

Your Content

You continue to own content that you create and upload to Rosemarry, including your photos and profile information.

By uploading content to Rosemarry, you give Rosemarry permission to host, store, process, reproduce and display that content where reasonably necessary to provide and operate the service.

This permission may continue where limited retention is reasonably required for safety, legal, fraud prevention or operational purposes after content or an account has been removed.

12

Service Availability

Rosemarry may occasionally:

  • Add or remove features.
  • Modify existing features.
  • Conduct maintenance.
  • Experience technical interruptions.
  • Restrict access to parts of the service.
  • Change how Circle, Discovery or matching systems operate.

Rosemarry does not guarantee that every feature will always be available or operate without interruption.

13

No Guarantee of Dating Outcomes

Rosemarry provides a platform for people to discover, meet and communicate with other users.

Rosemarry does not control the actions, intentions, honesty or behaviour of individual users.

Rosemarry does not guarantee:

  • That another user’s information is completely accurate.
  • That another user will respond to you.
  • That a Match will result in a conversation.
  • That a conversation will result in a date.
  • That a date will result in a relationship.
  • That recommendations will always be compatible.

Users are responsible for making their own decisions when communicating with or meeting other users.

14

Changes to Rosemarry and These Terms

Rosemarry may update these Terms when the service, its features, legal requirements or business practices change.

Where a change is significant, Rosemarry may notify users through the app, website, email or another reasonable method.

The updated Terms will include the date they became effective.

Continued use of Rosemarry after updated Terms take effect may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.

15

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Rosemarry’s operating entity and the jurisdiction stated in the final version of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

Additional dispute resolution terms may be included before Rosemarry launches.
